With a total revenue of 73,3 million Euros, MEDIA CONSULTA (MC) could experience growth of 8,5 million Euros and accordingly 13 percent in 2009 (turnover 2008: 64,8 million Euros). The agency for integrated communications has been ranked as the second largest independent owner-managed advertising agency (source: “Horizont” and “W&V” Turnover Survey, March 11th 2010). With this year’s growth, MC could create more than 25 additional jobs in Berlin and Cologne: At the end of last year, the number of employees represented 325 jobholders (2008: 298 staff members).
“We earn 50 percent of our accounts below the line and are therefore less prone to the advertising cycles of media and creative accounts”, explains Harald Zulauf, CEO of MC. “Another advantage lies in our international structure: As the only German network agency we are present in 56 countries – that’s why we can compensate budget reductions in one state by new clients in other countries.”
In 2009, MC secured new accounts amounting to 40 million Euros. For 2010, the agency for integrated communications aims to win at least five new brand accounts. In the first months of the new year, MEDIA CONSULTA already managed to convince well-known new customers of its services: The ecological cleaning brand Rainett, the French counterpart to the German label Frosch, the German fee collecting agency GEZ, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the German Centre of Tourism (DTZ) now belong to MC’s client list.
